Contents

1. Construction-release scope

This revision converts the earlier Mode B concept into a fabrication-oriented build package. It defines the 19-inch/6U faceplate, exact control cutouts and coordinates, front-panel wiring, safety-loop topology, sensor trigger interfaces, illumination-controller wiring, RS-5900 acquisition interface, and representative physical hardware. Mode A remains the calibrated scientific domain; Mode B remains a bounded illumination-and-rendering persona layer.

1.1 Design rules

  • All optical-source limits are enforced below the persona layer. No Mode B preset may bypass current, temperature, door, E-stop, or source-power limits.
  • The safety relay physically removes power/enable from the LED light engine and 940 nm ToF source path; the PC and data logger remain powered long enough to seal the run log.
  • RAW RGB, NIR, thermal, depth, spectrometer, and radiometer records are immutable. Persona effects are stored only as derived products.
  • All political, theological, supernatural, and celebrity-referencing mode names are fictional/satirical UI labels, not claims about real people or medical conditions.

2. Actual hardware baseline and engineering illustrations

The following illustrations are original engineering depictions based on manufacturer-published product photographs, dimensions, and specifications. They are included so the construction document remains self-contained; the linked manufacturer pages/datasheets remain controlling for connector details, dimensional tolerances, and product revisions.

3. Front-panel mechanical specification

The PSC-CONSOLE front plate is specified as a 19-inch, 6U panel: 482.6 mm wide × 266.7 mm high. Use 3.0 mm 6061-T6 aluminum, black or blue-gray hard anodize, laser-engraved legends with white fill, and rear-mounted controls. The chassis rack ears—not the custom faceplate—should carry the final EIA-310 rack mounting slots; the six MH holes below are internal faceplate-to-chassis assembly holes.

5. Safety chain

PSC-1 hardwired source-power safety chain functional wiring
Figure 11. Hardwired source-power safety chain.

Use a dual-channel safety relay with force-guided outputs (for example, an Omron G9SE/Pilz PNOZ-class device or equivalent). The E-stop and door interlock must be normally closed and wired as two independent safety channels. PSC-T01 may monitor the relay auxiliary contact but shall not be inserted in the energy-removal path.

Safety device Contact state Effect
E-stop Dual NC Drops safety relay and K1 immediately
Door interlock Dual NC Drops K1 whenever optical chamber door is opened
LED-head thermal switches NC series chain Drops K1 on excessive heat-sink temperature
Safety relay reset Manual momentary Required after E-stop/interlock fault
K1 optical-source contactor Normally open power contacts Feeds DC4104 source supply and blaze 24 V
Safety relay auxiliary Force-guided status contact Read-only status to PSC-T01 DI25

6. Front-panel wiring and I/O schedule

Use locking internal harnesses with 24–26 AWG stranded wire. The proposed panel harness uses two Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 connectors: JFP1 (digital inputs/selector coding) and JFP2 (lamp/indicator outputs). K1 analog intensity and the two theatrical meters use JFP3. E-stop safety contacts are not routed through these connectors; they go directly to the safety relay.

7. Camera and sensor trigger wiring

Camera trigger lines are generated by PSC-T01, buffered, level-translated, and optionally isolated. Use 100 Ω source resistors and shielded twisted pair for each trigger. Basler ace 2 hardware trigger input is the M8 Line 1 opto-coupled input; the blaze-101 hardware input is pin 6 of its M12 A-coded power/I/O connector.

Device Connector / pin PSC signal Recommended interface
RGB Basler ace 2 M8 6-pin: pin 2 Line 1; pin 3 opto GND TRIG_RGB 24 V-compatible opto output or vendor I/O cable
NIR Basler ace 2 M8 6-pin: pin 2 Line 1; pin 3 opto GND TRIG_NIR Same as RGB
Basler blaze-101 M12 A-coded power/I/O: pin 6 opto input; pin 5 I/O GND TRIG_DEPTH 24 V opto output; pins 1 & 7 VCC, pins 2 & 3 GND
Ocean FX GPIO trigger per configured interface TRIG_SPEC 3.3/5 V TTL through isolated buffer where required
FLIR A655sc Digital input / I/O connector per camera manual TRIG_LWIR_MARK Use camera-supported external-start/frame marker; verify lens/configuration-specific manual
DAQ Digital marker input SYNC_DAQ TTL marker aligned to illumination state change

8. RS-5900 data acquisition interface

The preferred non-invasive computer interface uses the RS-5900 Direct Out BNC. LaserProbe states that Direct Out is a 0–10 VDC analog output corresponding to the mantissa (published analog range 0–9.99 V). Feed this into a 16-bit ±10 V DAQ channel. Record the RS-5900 range/exponent as metadata because the Direct Out represents the mantissa, not a self-contained engineering-unit value.

Node Connection
RS-5900 DIRECT OUT 75 Ω or 50 Ω BNC coax acceptable for low-frequency DC readout; keep run <3 m
Protection 1 kΩ series resistor at DAQ; low-leakage clamp outside 0–10.5 V if desired
DAQ input Differential ±10 V range, ≥16-bit; ≥20 samples/s
Filter Software moving average; optional 1 kΩ/1 µF RC only if response-time impact is acceptable
Metadata Timestamp, range exponent, units, calibration factor, source channel, source current, source temperature
Grounding Bond chassis at one point; if ground-loop offset exceeds error budget, add a precision isolated analog repeater

9. Illumination-control wiring

Two DC4104 drivers provide eight independently controlled channels. Each DC4104 supports four channels up to 1 A/channel and 5 V forward voltage, with independent external modulation inputs. Current limits for each physical emitter must be set below the LED manufacturer maximum and below the validated PSC human-subject exposure limit.

PSC channel Nominal wavelength Driver/channel Mode-B role
L1 455 nm DC4104-A CH1 Blue/cold component
L2 530 nm A CH2 Green component
L3 590 nm A CH3 Amber/gold component
L4 625 nm A CH4 Red component
L5 660 nm DC4104-B CH1 Deep-red component
L6 727/730 nm B CH2 Far-red transition
L7 850 nm B CH3 NIR reflectance
L8 940 nm B CH4 NIR / ToF-adjacent test band
Important
when the blaze-101 is operating, its own 940 nm VCSEL emission must be treated separately from L8. Do not infer face-plane irradiance from L8 calibration while the ToF emitter is active; acquire a dedicated combined-source condition if both are needed.

10. Mode B front-panel behavior

15 NANOVNA ORACLE Normal Mode B Display-only Smith-chart / impedance-themed overlay
16 RESERVED / SERVICE Service controlled No persona output unless engineering service flag is enabled

The high-chaos activation sequence is BANK=MODE B → selector/quick key → ARM → CHAOS KEY → ACTIVATE. Firmware may refuse activation for any interlock, overtemperature, uncalibrated optical source, or missing safety-relay auxiliary status.

10.1 UFO Identification Mode (UFO-ID-01)

UFO Identification Mode is a Mode B visualization and evidence-review preset. It combines RGB/NIR imagery, thermal/depth fusion, spectrometer traces, radiometric metadata, target brackets, and a simulated track-quality panel. The interface may use the terms UFO/UAP as a themed classification label, but it shall not claim detection of extraterrestrial origin, airworthiness, defense capability, or navigation-grade performance.

Recommended physical-light behavior: maintain the established safe illumination envelope, with a modest NIR bias (850/940 nm) only when the optical safety controller and blaze-101 coexistence logic permit it. All target identity, range, heading, and “spectral anomaly” values shown by the theatrical UI must be explicitly marked measured, derived, or simulated.

Mode B selector position 13 is assigned to UFO IDENTIFICATION. Quick key Q8 provides one-touch selection; Q9 becomes WORLD ARMAGEDDON. The front-panel S3 selector is therefore specified as a 16-position binary-coded rotary selector while retaining the existing four-bit decoder interface.

12. Assembly and commissioning sequence

  1. Machine and anodize the faceplate. Dry-fit every control before engraving fill or final chassis assembly.
  2. Build the 24 V control/safety panel first. Verify the E-stop and door interlock remove source power before connecting any optical source.
  3. Install PSC-T01 and panel harnesses. Validate every digital input and lamp output with the source contactor K1 physically disconnected.
  4. Install DC4104 units/hubs and LED heads. Set current limits at minimum and perform dark-room channel identification one wavelength at a time.
  5. Install RGB/NIR cameras, then blaze, thermal camera, Ocean FX, and RS-5900 DAQ. Validate data streams individually before synchronization.
  6. Calibrate trigger timing with a photodiode or fast LED observed simultaneously by RGB/NIR where possible; store measured offsets.
  7. Perform RS-5900 zero/stability checks and a 5×5 face-plane uniformity survey before enabling any Mode B presets.
  8. Run Mode A acceptance testing first. Only after Mode A passes should Mode B quick keys and theatrical meters be enabled.

13. Construction-release acceptance criteria

Test Acceptance criterion
Panel fit All controls mount without interference; legends legible at 0.7 m
E-stop Source-power contactor K1 drops without software participation
Door interlock Opening chamber removes source power; run log records event
Overtemperature Thermal chain removes source power and latches fault
RGB/NIR trigger Measured relative timestamp/trigger error <1 ms where camera mode supports it
blaze trigger Hardware-trigger acquisition verified; 940 nm source disabled on K1 drop
RS-5900 DAQ ADC transfer verified at ≥5 points from 0–10 V using calibrated source before connection
LED repeatability ≤±2% after warm-up at fixed command and heat-sink temperature
Face-plane uniformity Initial ≤10%; preferred ≤5%
Mode B safety Every persona mode remains bounded by calibrated current/exposure tables
RAW integrity 100% source files hashed and not overwritten by renderer

14. Manufacturer references and source notes

Component specifications and pin assignments can change by hardware revision. Before releasing PCB artwork or permanent harnesses, compare this construction package against the exact serial-number/revision documentation supplied with each purchased device.

15. Commercial preorder and ecommerce presentation

TerminalPursuit.com preorder presentation should treat PROJECT SPECTRUM CHAOS as a concept/preorder product unless and until a production prototype, compliance testing, sourcing plan, lead time, and delivery configuration are complete. Product photography should clearly distinguish “engineering render,” “prototype,” and “shipping configuration.”

15.1 Rh-Negative preorder story layer

The Rh-Negative theme may be presented as fictional project lore (for example, “RH-NEGATIVE PREORDER EDITION” or “Priority Access: RH-Negative Operatives”). Do not request laboratory reports, medical records, or other proof of blood type as part of checkout. If the store uses the theme operationally, prefer a voluntary self-attestation/novelty checkbox and publish a privacy notice explaining that no medical verification is collected or retained.

15.2 Product-image release set

Use a consistent geometry-first workflow: preserve the exact faceplate, meter, quick-key, connector, and rack proportions from this construction package; then enhance materials, reflections, studio lighting, and backgrounds with an image-generation workflow. For motion advertising, Higgsfield is better suited to video/VFX/marketing treatments; still ecommerce hero images should start from the dimensioned render or CAD-like anchor so controls remain consistent across views.

Every synthetic image intended for sale should be labeled “concept render” until photographed production hardware exists.

APPENDIX B — TOP SECRET / CLASSIFIED FICTIONAL PARODY PATENT

NOT A REAL PATENT — NOT FILED WITH THE USPTO OR ANY OTHER PATENT OFFICE
Fictional parody attribution only: “Elon Musk.” This text is not authored, approved, endorsed, signed, filed, or associated with Elon Musk, SpaceX, Tesla, X, xAI, or any affiliated entity.
Fictional Application No. US-PSC-MM-2026-001-PARODY

Authorized Territories THE MOON AND PLANET MARS ONLY

Abstract

A fictional multispectral apparatus is disclosed for radiometric measurement, synchronized visible/NIR/LWIR/depth acquisition, theatrical persona rendering, and a UFO Identification Mode. A hardware safety chain remains independent of software. In the parody embodiment described herein, the apparatus is subject to a deliberately absurd celestial-territory restriction: it may be shipped, commissioned, and used only on the surface of Earth’s Moon or the planet Mars.

Fictional Moon/Mars shipping and use restriction

  • No completed PSC-1 unit covered by this parody filing may be shipped for final delivery to, commissioned on, or operated on the surface of Earth.
  • Authorized final destinations are limited exclusively to a lunar surface facility on the Moon or a surface facility on Planet Mars.
  • Earth-orbiting spacecraft, cislunar transit vehicles, Mars transfer vehicles, asteroids, Venus, Mercury, the outer planets, Lagrange points, and terrestrial laboratories are not authorized use locations under the fictional territorial clause.
  • A completed unit may pass through Earth or space only as sealed transit cargo en route to the Moon or Mars. The fictional operating key remains inhibited until the destination environment is authenticated.
  • The restriction is narrative satire, not a real patent right, export rule, legal shipping limitation, certification, or statement from Elon Musk or any real company.

Parody claims

Claim 1 — A multispectral phenomenology apparatus comprising an RS-5900 radiometric reference, synchronized visible and near-infrared cameras, thermal and depth sensing, a spectral analyzer, a safety controller, and a Mode B theatrical renderer.

Claim 2 — The apparatus of Claim 1 wherein the operator interface contains a UFO IDENTIFICATION mode that presents simulated tracking, spectral-anomaly, thermal, and classification overlays while preserving immutable raw sensor data.

Claim 3 — The apparatus of Claim 1 wherein the apparatus contains persona selections including Alien, Fallen Angel, Revelations Demon, Early Alchemist, Elon D.O.G.E., God Mode, Zombie Robot, Anarchy, Rapture, TDS Parody, Artificial Intelligence, World Armageddon, Quantum Raccoon, and NanoVNA Oracle.

APPENDIX C — Ecommerce Product Image Production Workflow

For TerminalPursuit.com, the highest-confidence workflow is geometry-first. Preserve the engineering faceplate as the source of truth, generate consistent 3D/CAD-style anchor views, then apply a photoreal image model for material/lighting polish. Use Higgsfield for cinematic motion, VFX, ad variations, and social video. Keep all controls, legends, quick-key positions, connector groupings, and enclosure dimensions locked between image generations.

Required ecommerce disclosure

Until a production unit exists, product listings should label these images as “concept render,” “engineering render,” or “prototype visualization.” The TOP SECRET / CLASSIFIED treatment is a fictional brand device only. The parody patent is not a real intellectual-property filing, and the Moon/Mars shipping limitation is part of the fictional project narrative.
